Outpatient Mental Health Services
The Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center offers a wide array of culturally responsive, trauma informed counseling services to children, adolescents and adults. Clinicians can provide diagnostic assessments, individual and group therapy. Some of our specialties include narrative therapy, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing®, sand tray, and play therapy. MIWRC's licensed therapists balance contemporary evidence-based therapy models with Native American values, cultural practices, and traditional methodologies for enhancing resilience and mind-body-social-spiritual health.
MIWRC also offers school based therapy at Bdote, Center School, Augsburg Fairview Academy, Takoda/American Indian OIC and El Colegio. Services can include emotional regulation skills, play therapy, family therapy and school consultation.
Our services are billed through insurance and although you do not need to be enrolled in a tribe to receive services here, you may be asked for this information for funding purposes.
